Bonbom Jo, Designer – For emerging designer, sometimes, our style or design used to be described by others such as ‘mixture of ( ) percent of ‘A’ brand and ( ) of ‘B’ brand but we need to overcome that kind of strangeness. It takes time to make them look at our style as just us. We need time to consistently show the aesthetic and make people understand our own style. So, for me development on distinctive signature design/ silhouette/ way of dressing is so important. Building history, legacy, heritage, story needs time. That’s why the first thing I do when designing is to look at my past collections. I am so happy that I can reference my previous collections.

Peter Do, Creative Director – How people wear their clothes in the streets inform the way we work in the atelier. What we do in the atelier is to create a system of dressing for everyday living. The way we work is the way we live.

Lardini

Luigi Lardini, Creative Director – It is necessary to take a look at the past, history and the way of dressing during the years. Taking something from it and revisiting it, bringing new and current changes such as fit, fabrics, details, and small interventions for the needs of current life.

WE11DONE

WE11DONE – There’s beauty to be discovered in what is typically considered, ugly, too

Soonil Kwon, Designer – For me, creation is about infusing my personal aesthetic into design; it’s a form of self-expression. It’s a conscious process of evolution, much like a brand, growing gradually over time. I don’t set a clear vision from the outset; instead, I showcase the evolution of style through the ongoing design of products. Creation should be flexible, driven by purpose, passion and joy, while also allowing for experimentation and mistakes.

Our suppliers bring diverse perspectives on craftsmanship and life, providing us with invaluable feedback. This ongoing dialogue among everyone involved is a particularly important aspect of our work.

SANDBEIGE

Sandbeige – Interpreting and reshaping the past serves as a source of inspiration for contemporary designers, who strive to harmoniously blend diverse concepts and sensibilities in pursuit of a modern and refined ethos.
