Can you tell us about the runway pieces that are displayed in Lane Crawford today? Are there particular details that you wish the Lane Crawford customers to pay extra attention to?

It’s so important when I can show pieces from my collections and what you see in-store side by side…
It really helps to showcase that I bring the highest level of detail to everything I do… And that there are two versions of the same idea but always at the highest level…
The lining, the seams, the fabrications and techniques used to bring everything together are all considered…
The most important thing about presenting collections and runway shows and my pieces is the quality in the clothing… I create everything at almost a couture level… with the best mills, and factories and teams around the world… and you get to take that home in every piece you see…
What did Hong Kong mean to you when you first visited, and what does it mean to you now?
Hong Kong reminds me a lot of New York… a city full of people so unique and individual… so many people coming together to tell their own stories and create a place that is unlike anywhere else in the world… It’s always a privilege to be in Hong Kong sharing my stories with everyone…

Collaboration is a key aspect for both Lane Crawford and Thom Browne. Could you share more about the collaborative process and your approach to the lifestyle collections with partners like Baccarat, Frette, Christofle, etc?
Collaboration to me should be deeply personal… Items that I would use in my personal life because they represent quality, craftsmanship and history…
I choose to work with brands like Baccarat, Frette, Christofle and others because they’re the best at what they do… Products and ideas that are created at the highest level by experts in their fields… and it’s important that everything feels authentic in that way… then it becomes so easy to work with their teams because we complement each other’s work and let each other do what we’re best at…
Thom Browne and Lane Crawford’s relationship dates back almost 20 years ago. How would you describe the journey with us? And what do you look forward to the most?
There has always been a mutual appreciation between Lane Crawford and myself… and I think that really shows in the success of our collaboration… The team really understands the stories and ideas that I’ve created since the very beginning… and being at Lane Crawford, it’s so easy to tell that they’re deeply invested in creating unique experiences for their customers… I look forward to telling many more stories through their locations…
Where do you see Thom Browne in 20 years?
I still have so much left to show people… and so many new people to reach…
but I hope that in twenty years you see an evolution of the same idea I started with… through new stories, new proportions and new ideas…
that keep people questioning what they think about the world, the way you should wear clothes, and themselves…
