Introducing Particle FeverAn experimental field of sportswear
With their passion for craftsmanship and the wonder of the unknown, Shanghai-based sportswear brand Particle Fever is inspired by the world of scientific innovation.
Deeply touched by the award-winning documentary film of the same name that showcases the construction of the world’s largest and most powerful particle collider, Large Hadron Collider in order to uncover a crucially important missing piece of the particle physics theory, the founders of the label aim to craft sportswear that is equally awe inspiring.
Particle Fever is continually searching for breakthroughs in different aspects of their craft, while putting experimentality at its core. Breakthroughs come in the form of innovative sportswear materials such as fabrics that are antibacterial, ultra quick to dry and so light and breathable that they feel almost weightless.
What defines them is the innovative merging of these technologies with Particle Fever’s drive to deliver sportswear design with a couture aesthetic. The label also put practical testing at the forefront of their creativity, ensuring that each and every one of their designs is put to the test and demonstrated by real wearers. As a result, they will not only run hundreds of times in each item before their launch, they also invite sport experts from their community to critique and trial each design as well.
“We don’t want Particle Fever to be a traditional sports brand, instead, we want to define what real sportswear would be look like through different channels, including visual, culture, technology and the internet. We want the brand to be experimental.” – Zoey, Particle Fever CEO
With positive mantras that include, ‘keep curious,’ ‘set no limits,’ ‘explore more,’ ‘experiment more,’ and ‘always keep a positive mindset,’ the Particle Fever philosophy is one of living life, better. At this time of year, their ideology is almost as inspiring as their designs.
