What’s your take on accessorising your footwear?
How important are accessories like charms in making a fashion statement?

Footwear is an often-overlooked canvas for self-expression. Just like we adorn our wrists and necks, our shoes can tell a unique story. Charms, in particular, are incredibly versatile. They can range from delicate and understated to bold and playful, instantly elevating a simple pair of shoes.
What kind of advice would you offer individuals that are trying to express themselves through accessorising their shoes?
Before adding anything, define your overall aesthetic. Are you minimalistic, bohemian, edgy, classic, or something else entirely?
Select charms with personal significance. Birthstones, zodiac symbols, initials, or charms representing your hobbies or passions can add a unique touch.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with different combinations of charms. Play with colours, sizes, and textures to create a dynamic and visually interesting look.

What accessory styles do you think work best with shoes like the classic Sambas?
Gold or Silver Chain Anklets. The Samba’s sleek leather upper and clean lines create a perfect canvas for delicate gold or silver chain anklets. A simple, single chain anklet adds a touch of sophistication, while a layered look with multiple chains can create a more bohemian vibe.
What current trends do you see in charm designs that would appeal to sneakerheads?
Charms that allow for personalisation are highly appealing. This could include charms with blank spaces for engraving, interchangeable elements, or the ability to add customised text or initials.
Have you noticed any trends in footwear accessories influenced by celebrities or social media influencers? Can you give examples?
Speaking of customised sneakers, I'm still captivated by the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama trainer. It is adorned with a variety of stamp-like, colourful images inspired by the Japanese artist's "My Eternal Soul" series of paintings. I think it would be incredibly charming if these prints were translated into actual metal badges or small charms.
