BRANDS TO KNOW
7 labels debuting at Lane Crawford this season
1. DIESEL
Belgian designer Glenn Martens of thought-provoking contemporary brand Y/Project took over the creative reigns of Italian denim label Diesel in 2020. Since, Martens has transformed the longstanding pillar of casualwear into the now. Case in point? This season’s upcycled denim, innovative overprints, and graphic, paint-like finishes.
Why we love it? For fresh denim with historic codes.
2. HOKA ONE ONE
Hoka One One was born from a niche mission to design a shoe for downhill running, and inadvertently turned into creating one of the world’s most in-demand athletic sneakers brands. Offering a bold and unexpected approach to performance footwear, the design offers maximum cushion and minimal weight.
Why we love it? For revolutionary oversized cushioned outsoles.
3. MADE IN TOMBOY
Based on the coastal province of Ancona, Italy, locally crafted label Made in Tomboy draws inspiration from the ‘70s and ‘80s, contemporary art, and the style of Madonna to design their distinctive collections. The result? A denim range with a focus on retro cuts and washes and a penchant for oversized proportions – cue jumpsuits, wide-leg pants, and ballooning tops.
Why we love it? For structural denim that serves as a dreamy daily uniform.
4. MOREAU
Founded in 1882 by a revolutionary cabinetmaker and official supplier of Emperor Napoleon I, Martin-Guillaume Biennais, luxury Parisian Maison Moreau has one of the world’s richest handbag histories. Today, the label is synonymous with quality, timeless style, and an instantly recognisable statement-making print.
Why we love it? For handbags that will never go out of style.
5. RTA
RtA – an acronym for Road to Awe – celebrates party-apt clothing that fuses the ease of the label’s LA base with the French roots of its creative director Eli Azran. A finalist of the prestigious Vogue x CFDA fashion fund, the brand encourages self-expression through both feminine and androgynous style cues.
Why we love it? For “going out” gear that feels effortless.
6. OFFICINE GENERALE
Officine Générale founder Pierre Mahéo delivers on his mission to add beauty to everyday life through clothing. Hyper-wearable with a focus on luxury fabrics, the European-made label has a knack for fusing tailoring and workwear codes with effortless Parisian style.
Why we love it? For supremely versatile staples that work year-round.
7. VERSACE
Why we love it? For combining the best of Versace into one shiny new reel.
