"The Row is…"

simple yet complex with an emphasis on quality.

How did you learn about The Row?

I honestly can't remember but it must have been when The Row first launched. I used to be a lot more flamboyant with my clothing choices, but the brand’s designs have always been on my radar.

What words do you live by?

Optimism, empathy, gratitude

How does the brand resonate with you?

When I tried on The Row, I could instantly feel the quality of each piece. The clean, sleek silhouette may look simple but each piece is crafted with utmost attention to detail. There’s thoughtfulness and depth in simplicity. Similarly, our microgreens, edible flowers and herbs at Common Farms may look small, but once you try our produce, you can taste potent flavours in every bite.

If you could pack one item on your next holiday, where would you go and what would it be?

Covid made me miss a lot of important celebrations and my second home(s) after Hong Kong. This is the route I would take on my next holiday: Kuwait, London, Paris, Italy, Attersee, Austria. I will pack the pants that I’m wearing for this shoot on all my adventures.

Which item from the collection would you pick to take you from day-to-night?

The pants! I would farm in them in the day with a T-shirt and sneakers and just throw on a pair of heels for a night out. They’re highly versatile and super flattering.

Mo Xin – Entrepreneur

Song Mo Xin is a fashion and tech entrepreneur, having founded the successful marketing company Berry Interactive she pivoted to create Camelia, a content e-commerce platform dedicated to women. Song Mo Xin's pursuit of quality and design comes with a unique spin, combining her love of plants, freshness, and a passion for reading and travel.

"The Row is…"

thoughtful, inspiring, and captures the feminine heart. It is the perfect existence of wardrobe staples and the best expression of my ideal image.

How did you learn about The Row?

I passed by The Row's showroom during a business trip to Paris many years ago and was captured by the subtle glimmer, delicate shell buttons, relaxed silhouette of their silk dress shirt. I was really impressed with the attention to detail and I couldn't resist taking two pieces with me. I brought the pieces on my later business trips and was pleasantly surprised that The Row silk developed far less wrinkles and the crisp tailoring of The Row’s pants made it so easy to get out the door each morning.

Lane Crawford later carried The Row, making it much easier for me to try and buy. They have now become core staples in my wardrobe.

How does the brand resonate with you?

Minimalist and stylish, expressing the image of a woman with independent thought.

If you could pack one item on your next holiday, where would you go and what would it be?

Next month I'll be visiting Lijiang and staying at Wu Yu Lan, a boutique hotel with a vintage décor. I like it for its unique design elements and beautiful scenery.

My travel essentials are a cashmere cardigan, The Row slip dress, a white dress shirt, a black midi skirt, straight jeans and white sneakers. This can accommodate the temperature range with different looks.

What is your go-to from the brand?

Too many! Every item from The Row is worth owning. When you hold it in your hands and put it on, you will marvel at the delicate texture and stealthily minimalist attitude. These are items that you will cherish season after season. I would invest in their dress shirts, trousers, shoes and handbags.

Which item from the collection would you pick to take you from day-to-night?

This season, I tried on two looks and brought home five items with me. A thin blazer, a pair of wide-legged trousers, a maxi skirt, cool chunky boots, and the half-moon bag. I'm looking forward to seeing the thick knits and coats.

Jiang Chen – Lane Crawford Customer

Having been a loyal fan of Lane Crawford for over a decade, Jiang Chen is confident in Lane Crawford’s curations. Other than being a full-time housewife, she has an affinity for sports and is passionate about experiencing new things. She leads a healthy lifestyle with an optimistic attitude and sees beauty in life.

"The Row is…"

calm and free. Its quiet beauty is visually pleasing.

How did you learn about The Row?

I recall it was around 13 years ago in Autumn 2008. I couldn’t take my eyes off a dark blue The Row cashmere suit that Echo, a Sales Assistant, had on hand. She was telling me about the designer sisters behind the label and described to me in detail the refined materials and impeccable tailoring. The moment she asked me to try on a billowing shirt, I could see how the piece is constructed to flatter.

I have fallen in love with The Row ever since. Their pieces are frequent additions to my wardrobe.

What words do you live by?

The universe is expansive, the self is minute. Maintain a curiosity and explore with ease.

How does the brand resonate with vou?

There is power in the quiet elegance of each collection. I felt confident ever since the first time I tried on The Row. I resonate most with the brand philosophy – designing for women that are never overly fancy or fussy but rather grounded in everyday life. I picture women that wear The Row to be delicate and restrained, her relaxed beauty wins my heart.

I don't enjoy standing out in a crowd, but compliments from my friends bring me joy and gratitude. And of course, Echo's recommendations and validations are very important, she is so honest. The people I love also like The Row.

If you could pack one item on your next holiday. where would you go and what would it be?

Jing De Zhen in Jiangxi, China is already on my itinerary. I will bring a cashmere sweater from The Row. Yes, The Row cashmere is not just any ordinary cashmere. It will keep you warm day and night, and be layered on the shoulders, it’s my travel essential.

What is your go-to from the brand?

I personally think that The Row's different knitwear items are all staples, they are at once practical and easy to pair, once you try them on you will know how great they are.

Which item from the collection would you pick to take you from day-to-night?

This season, I have picked a new pair of wide-legged trousers as my day-to-night. Its high-rise design elongates my proportions, and is extremely flattering for a petite figure like myself. I've paired it with a short-sleeved knitted top, a boxy jacket, a slim blazer, I've already been wearing it since mid-summer until now.

Lulu - Style Influencer

Lulu was born in Beijing, studied in England, and currently lives in Hong Kong. Before establishing her own WeChat social media account, Lulu worked with Vogue China and Lane Crawford. These experiences garnered her professional and practical knowledge of the media and fashion industries. Now, she has grown to become one of China's most authoritative lifestyle and fashion influencers, having elaborate partnerships with numerous travel, fashion, beauty and lifestyle luxury brands.

"The Row is…"

quiet, flowing, sensual.

How did you learn about The Row?

I bought my first piece from The Row at Lane Crawford a few years ago. I was working at Lane Crawford Hong Kong's buying office at the time, The Row pieces still had the gold collar tag. I remember it was a delicate and soft knitted top, and when I felt it on me, I was completely moved.

What words do you live by?

Cultivate, protect, persevere. This is the sentence from Matsuura's "100 Basics" that touches me the most.

How does the brand resonate with you?

First is their design, I love the romantic aesthetic that comes from their minimalist outlines and shapes. Next, its their fabrics. The Row uses materials that have superior textures. You need to touch it with your skin to really feel its loveliness. And their cutting can alter one's figure in the best way possible. It never feels constricting, whilst expressing a delicate quality through the body's rhythms and movement.

If you could pack one item on your next holiday, where would you go and what would it be?

I'd like to visit Xinjiang. I will pack the green gun lapel cashmere jacket that I recently bought. The stiff and stylish silhouette can be paired with different inner layers, all the while keeping me nice and warm.

What is your go-to from the brand?

A high-quality pure cotton dress shirt, a draping maxi dress, or a pair of loose and comfortable wide-legged trousers.

Which item from the collection would you pick to take you from day-to-night?

The mixed cashmere and virgin wool cape-jacket comes in a gentle tan colour, and can be worn casually as an outer piece, as well as keeping you warm in formal occasions while maintaining an elegant look.
